Surya College of Technical Studies, Lucknow

Surya College of Technical Studies was established in 2018, making it a fairly young college in terms of technical education. This college is situated in Lucknow, the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, and in a short span of time has emerged as one of the most preferred choices among students who are in pursuit of diploma courses.

The government-approved All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the statutory body responsible for the technical education standard in India for approval for the institute. Surya College has structured the student enrolment with a total of 71 students and a faculty strength of 22 members, which mainly decreases the student-teacher ratio.

A number of features are provided at Surya College of Technical Studies in a bid to complement the learning abilities of the students. The campus also has separate hostels for boys and girls who travel from other areas to study in this institute to live comfortably in.

A library with an adequate stock is useful in the sense that the student is able to access many different sources so that they are able to do their work. This college is a modern college of higher learning, as it has the great feature of being well endowed with attractive IT features that inform the students about modern education based on technological advancement.

In addition, the institution has provided general and departmental laboratories where the learners can practically acquire knowledge and skills in their respective disciplines. Surya College of Technical Studies has limited diploma programmes only, and all these programmes are offered as full-time programmes intended to take three years to complete.

The institute currently provides four diploma courses : Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Information Technology Engineering. Offering 180 seats across these programmes, the college is versatile in offering engineering courses for students’ choice.

Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering programmes have 60 seats while Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology Engineering programme have 60 seats each. This distribution is consistent with the college’s focus areas as a primary engineering college and, at the same time, in line with modern technological development.
