Swami Sahajanand College, Chas, was set up in 1984 as an affiliated college situated in Bokaro of Jharkhand. Situated over an area of-campus of 5. 08 Acres This institution however is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college provides a broad number of four year courses and has in total 26 courses across 5 types of degrees.

This college boasts of 6,234 students, 3,115 of whom are male and 2,963 female students. Currently, the faculty constitutes 31 members, which means that our students from different majors will receive adequate individual attention. The college has numerous facilities, which make a contribution to the general education process.

The library is a reserve of information to students and professors and should therefore have standard and adequate stock. As for the sport, the college offers facilities for sport and has a gym. The physical facilities include IT centers to facilitate digitization of learning services as a Green Campus.

Students can read or simply chitchat at the cafeteria and the auditorium is used for functions and seminars as well. It also possesses well-stocked laboratories for practical sessions especially helpful to those students whose specialties are as scienceliable. A first aid facility provided by a health center is protecting the health of members of the campus.

Further, parking area for faculty, staff and students has also been ensured both surface parking as well as basement parking. All programs offered by Swami Sahajanand College for undergraduates are full time programs and the college admits students in various undergradate courses. The college offers 26 courses for students in four major fields at the college: Arts, Science, Commerce.

Other observed programs include Bachelor of Arts , Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce , as well as certain honours programs in; Anthropology , English, Hindi , Mathematics, Physics , Chemistry and so on.

It also has regional language honors programme including BA Bengali Hons, BA Khortha Hons , and BA Kurmali Hons which is a testimony of the colleges efforts on trying to offer programs in languages that are spoken in the region. 5 Based on this, the total student intake capacity is put at 6, 234, to meet the increasing need of many learners intending to pursue an undergraduate program in the region.
