Swaraj College of Education, Agra

Swaraj College of Education, Agra is a private college affiliated to the Pt. B NM University, permanently recognised by NCTE for B. Ed and recognised by the Government of U. P. for D. El. Ed programme. One of the top co-education institute recognised by NCTE. This college occupies a rather small plot of 1. 114 acres of colleges and at present has 89 students and 17 faculty members.

Swaraj College of Education has a number of learning resources that can be sued by the students to improve on their performance. Its library is useful for scholars; the sports facilities enhance students’ health and teach them team work among students. An auditorium assists in containing events and seminars and promotes interaction within different forums enhancing the life of the campus.

Most of the many facilities found in a college include a cafeteria for students and members of the staff to relax with. In support of teaching and learning that is more practical in nature, the institution has an arrangement of departmental laboratories. Technology is also effectively integrated in the college with good support to IT with regards to hardware facilities.

First Aid facilities, for example, in a health centre cater for the needs of the students while a gym is also provided for those with sports interests. Swaraj College of Education presently provides only one course, which is a full time course of two years duration that is D. El. ED.

The institute has been approved for an intake of one hundred students for this programme and this shows the institute’s annual production of many qualified elementary educators. Ed 150 Swaraj College of Education follows the admission procedures prescribed by the state government/UT administration to allow the students to undergo admission. Entrance requirements usually depend on academic performance in the qualifying examination and a competitive test. The college may also use other methods of selection as may be dictated by the government from time to time.
