B. A programme after making it in the merit list after clearing the entrance exam (SNAP) and GE PIWAT process.
5 candidates are chosen based on the total composite score (SNAP + GE PIWAT score). If two candidates have the same score, then the student with the higher SNAP score will qualify for the scholarship. The maximum fee waiver in the first year of the M. B. A programme would amount to 20% of the academic fee alone (not including the induction programme fee, hostel and mess fee).
For the waiver to continue for the second year of the M. B. A programme, the candidate should not have any backlogs (internal or external) and must have at least 7 out of 10 CGPA at the end of Semester II. The maximum fee waiver for the second year of the M. B. A programme would amount to 20% of the academic fee alone (not including the induction programme fee, hostel and mess fee).
International Scholarship Candidates must hold a valid foreign passport. Candidates should have obtained more than 75% as a qualifying grade in the 12th standard. Have obtained more than 60% as a qualifying grade in Graduation (in the case of postgraduate programmes).
Candidates should have appeared for an English Proficiency Test conducted by the British Council (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6 or the IELA Test with a minimum band of 3. Candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria (if any) of the desired programme.
NER Scholarships for students from North-East Region Candidates should have appeared for the SET/SNAP/any other entrance exam of SIU and secured admission on merit to the programmes for which scholarships are awarded. NER Scholarships are only for candidates bearing domicile certificates of any of the eight states of NER.
Candidates must obtain at least 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade in case of SC/ST) at the 12th standard or equivalent examination.
