Texcity College of Nursing, Coimbatore was started in the year 2006 is one of the pioneer self-financed co-education institutions offering all recognition in the field of nursing in Tamil Nadu, India. This co-educational college is situated in Podanur Main Road and its area spreading from 2 acres of campus.

As an affiliated college, it functions under the recognition of INC, which means that the college follows national norms set in nursing education. There are 3 degree courses and 6 specialised courses in the institute offered to a total of 138 nursing students of nursing. The college currently has 25 faculty members in its employ and can therefore support a good student to teacher radio for effective learning.

Texcity College of Nursing possesses numerous amenities that facilitate the college experience of the students. It has a good library with says it has a stock of about 5000 books and 15 national and 5 international journals for use by students. Moreover, practical as well as theoretical education is made possible in the college laboratories which are equipped with modern mannequins and necessary equipment.

In its bid to ensuring the safety of students, space for a medical facility with first aid services is provided on the school compound. It also values the use of technology in learning, providing IT solutions for the current learning processes. Besides, the campus has got an auditorium that is used during events and seminars while there are athletic facilities for the growth of students’ bodies.

Texcity College of Nursing has developed its programmes to provide for a broad spectrum of educational levels required by prospective nurses. Currently the institute offers six full time courses and out of these the student can opt for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

At the undergraduate level, the college provides the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme which has 40 seats and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course which has 20 seats. For the post graduation, the college offers several 2-year M. Sc Nursing courses with 3 seats in each Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Midwifery and Obstetrical Nursing and Mental Health Nursing.

Total approved intake for all courses is seventy two and this is show casing the fact that the college still aims at maintaining quality in its offerings through putting ceiling on class sizes.
