Thakur PG college of education is Kangra which is affiliated college situated at Dhaliara in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and it was established in the year 2006. This educational institute for boys and girls is spread over 1 acre of the area and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college provides two programmes in education having enrolment of 429 students and 18 faculties.

Thakur PG College of Education aims at giving quality education in the field of teacher training and education It offers Bachelor of Education as well as Master of Education. Thakur PG college of education has developed effective teaching and learning resource that include: The campus provides well furnished separate hostel for boys and girls having all the modern facilities with experience wardens.

The library of the college works as an integrated learning resource centre where a extensive number of books, newspapers, encyclopaedas, and magazines belonging to different fields of study are available. There are two computerised libraries and multimedia stations for teaching support and student uses. It also offers well equipped air conditioned computer laboratories and departmental laboratory.

Outside classes, the college provides specific accommodation for sports, a Gym, and a swimming pool. Delimitated divisions for dining are provided by a cafeteria; the students and staff’s health is taken care of by a health centre with first-aid facilities. Transport facilities are also available from the college side to connect major nearby areas for the better convenience of students and staff.

At present, Thakur PG College of Education has designed of education. Besides, the total approved intake for all courses offered by Radford University is two hundred and twenty five seats. The Self-Finance programme in Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) shall intake students for 200 and the Master of Education (M. Ed) Self-Finance programme will intake only 25 students.

Ed programme the management has given its first preference to candidates who have passed the entrance test conducted by Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Second preference will be granted to any candidate who has written and passed the entrance examination. The admission of the M. Ed programme also depends on an entrance test also.
