Thayaramma Women’s Degree College, Gunupur, an affiliated college, was started in 1997 in Rayagada, Odisha. This is a women only college offers quality education in the field of Arts. The college occupies a land measuring 5 acres and delivers six undergraduate programmes of two different degrees.

Thayaramma Women’s Degree College follows a policy of moderate size for the student group and faculty; it has 314 students and 9 members of the faculty. The college is devoted to women’s education which is proved by the offered range of courses such as specialisations in English, Education, History, Odia, Industrial Relations & Personal Management and others.

Thayaramma Women’s Degree College contains all the facilities that improve the education of any students who attend the institution. Bound in the centre of these social points isthe well stocked library which contains a lot of books, magazines, newspapers, journals etc.

The college offers honours courses in BA English , BA Education, BA History , BA Odia and BA Industrial Relations & Personal Management in addition to a general BA programme.

The total approved intake for these courses is 128 students per year and number of seats per course is between 8 to 32. These diverse individual options of programmes give the student an opportunity to follow his or her passion in different areas within Arts and Humanities.
