The Kevin College, Tirunelveli

The Kevin College, Tirunelveli, was founded in 2008 as an affiliated college situated in the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu. Kasimedu IT Academy is situated right across the Sengulam Railway Station in Raja Nagar Ponnagudi and spans a vast area of nearly 15 Acres of land, lush green and a perfect place for learning.

The college, although here for just a decade, is gradually carving a place for it in the region, offering diploma courses in a range of engineering disciplines. Being a team of 65 Educators at The Kevin College, we are pledged for the development of the upcoming technicians and engineers.

In The Kevin College, there are many facilities that are provided to boost the learning ability of the students besides their other developments. Having separate hostels for boys and girls, there is a well-maintained residential facility available for students who prefer to live on campus.

A library with good stocks is over a treasure chamber, a storehouse of knowledge, where a student is more than ready to get all that would supplement his learning. Reflecting the college’s policy on remaining a technological institution, the college possessed a good IT infrastructure to enhance the modern approaches to learning.

Staff and students are privileged to have functional laboratories in every department; thus, physical strength is indispensably integrated in the technical learning process. For those in search for a balanced creative college life, the institution provides for sports amenities for exercise and group play.

There is a cafeteria at college level to meet the needs of students and staff in terms of food and a health centre with facilities for first aid for the college populace. Further, all the transport facilities within the college enables the day scholars to commute more comfortably.

The Kevin College enrols learners in different diploma programmes and all these programmes are full-time courses which take three years to complete. It currently offers six unique diploma courses aimed at various branches of engineering.

There are Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, diplomas in Information Technology, diplomas in Electronics and Communication Engineering, diplomas in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, diplomas in Computer Science engineering, and diplomas in Civil engineering. Every programme has an intake of 60 students; this is due to the college policy as far as class sizes are concerned for better learning outcomes.
