Ujjain Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Ujjain College of Physiotherapy is an independent educational institution which was set up in 2006 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college is especially devoted to paramedical sciences and physiotherapy sciences, and provides numerous programmes to its students.
Located on Agar Road, Village Surasa, the institute has been imparting medical education for the last one and half decade . Ujjain Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Ujjain College of Physiotherapy comprises various state of the art facilities that are meant to optimise student learning. Optimum health care of the campus requires a well equipped health centre with first aid station.
The college library that has over 20,634 textbooks and refrence books and subscribes to 80 national and 46 international journals. Students also have profits in audiovisual production and devices and also internet resource. By having its own IT infrastructure and having departmental laboratories also helps in the practical experience and learning.
Facilities for transport includes buses and for the health care services ambulances are provided for the ease of the students. Ujjain Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Ujjain College of Physiotherapy provides four full time courses at two degree level collectively.
The courses are Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) specialising in Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine, and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT). The BPT programme upon which an education in physiotherapy is based has an intake capacity of 50 students. In cases of both MPT specialisations, 5 seats are provided for resulting in fast and intense postgraduate training.
