Vasantrao Naik Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya Latur was established in 1990 It is an affiliated college situated at Shirur Tajband, Ahmedpur, Taluka Latur District Latur (Maharashtra). This is a coeducational institute which is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offers courses in teacher education only. Located in a 5-acre campus, the college provides the Degree of Bachelor in Education (B.

Ed) with an approved admission capacity of 100 students. At present, the institute has a faculty of 7 members and 24 students, which gives the institute a specialised feel for those who wish to be educators. Vasantrao Naik Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya has a number of infrastructures to enhance the academic vision of the institution.

One of them houses a library equipped with 6,336 books on many fields of interest, as well as newspapers, journals, and periodicals. This is also evident at the institute whereby modern education is inculcated when the students take time to learn Information Technology skills at the Computer Laboratory.

As for sports, academics and other non-class-related activities and functions, the college provides an auditorium with a 150 seating capacity that is fully furnished. The institute also provides various sports complexes and gyms, as it understands the fact that physical health is as necessary as mental health.

Vasantrao Naik Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya currently offers one full-time course: the Bachelors of Education, also known as the B. Ed programme. This scholarship bearing two-year course prepares the students to become teachers and has the capacity for 100 student intakes. The idea of having a single specialised programme like the college does is that it is possible to achieve efficient and quality training of teachers.
