VB College of Education, Rohtak, Haryana India is established in the year 2006 as a premier teaching institution. The institute covers an area of 2 acres of land and is accredited by NAAC and approved by NCTE. The two full-time courses offered are B. Ed and D. Ed, with an aggregate of 487 students and faculty strength of 26.
The institute has all the facilities that are needed for the students to learn from this place. The library, headed by a qualified librarian, contains a huge collection of books over diversified subjects and rare documents; automation of which is still in progress.
A large number of subjects, such as science, social studies, language, and psychology, are well equipped with laboratories so that the students may learn practically. There is a spacious playground for playing various sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, and cricket.
Further, modern facilities such as IT infrastructure, a cafeteria, and a health care center with first-aid facilities are provided for the campus. VB College of Education offers two major courses namely two-year full time B. Ed with 200 seats, and two years full time D. Ed with 50 seats. Both courses are designed to equip the students with training for the satisfaction of a rewarding teaching career.
The admission process would vary from course to course in VB College of Education. Admission into the B. Ed programme is through entrance test undertaken by the affiliating university, while for the D. Ed programme, SCERT Haryana Gurgaon controls admission by preparing the merit list for counseling. Only those highly motivated candidates who come out eligible in the selection process get admitted into the programmes.
