Vidya Institute of Fashion Technology, Meerut was established in 2008 and is one of the finest fashion education hubs in Uttar Pradesh. The 2. 5-acre campus of VIFT is an affiliated college, approved by AICTE. The three undergraduate courses house a total student strength of 303 students and a faculty strength of 34.
VIFT, in particular, runs specialised courses in field majors like fashion design, fine arts, and mass communication, offering the unique blend of creativity with technique. This covers a well-stocked library, illustration and rendering lab, pattern-making lab, draping lab, garment construction lab, printing, and dyeing labs—all these will allow students to have hands-on experience in various aspects of fashion designing and production. VIFT also has one of the largest specialised fashion libraries in the country, with a large number of books, periodicals, and trade publications.
The institute offers three courses catering to various creative industries. Bachelor of Fashion and Apparel Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts , and Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication ( BJMC ). Having a total intake of only 303 students, concentrated and more personalised learning is assured.

Eligibility is based on a 10+2 qualification with an aggregate of 50% or more in any discipline from a Board of Education recognised by the State Government. The students can also seek admission by dint of their scores in UPSEE.
