Vijay Institute of Technology and Science, Nizamabad (VITS), is an affiliated college which was established in 2004 in the campus of Markal Village, Kamareddy, Telangana. This co-educational institute is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which shows that the institute abides by quality technical education.
It also conducts a number of engineering courses, and its current specialisation areas are computer science engineering, electronics and telecommunications, and information technology at the undergraduate level, and it has a master's course in VLSI design and computer science engineering.
There are 74 members comprising the faculty, which is an impressive strength and adequately supports a strong academic programme for its students. Vijay Institute of Technology and Science is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUH), Hyderabad . The campus of VITS is fully endowed with modern facility needs of students in their learning as well as development processes.
The training of good and efficient health workers requires adequate and up-to-date information; the institute ensures adequate provision of books required by students and lectures through a functioning library.
Thus, VITS has provided itself with modern IT infrastructure as an effort to adapt to the modern rapidly growing IT sphere and to provide students with the opportunity to practiseusing and mastering new technologies. To make sure that students can get refreshments and socialise, the campus contains a cafeteria, which creates a lively student community. VITS offers five courses , three B.
Tech undergraduate programmes and one M. Tech postgraduate programme. The college offers the B. Tech programmes which are regular 4-year programmes in Computer Science and Engineering , Electronics Engineering and Information Technology . As more institutions offer e-learning programmes, these courses aim to equip students with sound knowledge within their chosen fields to tackle the technological world.
VLSI Design is another course that is much advanced and offers 18 seats for M. Tech, which caters to those who wish to specialise their field of expertise in this field of electronics. Course Name Total Number of Seats M. Tech. VLSI Design 18 The admission process that is carried out at VIT has been made easy to allow aspiring engineers to be admitted easily.
As a general rule, most of the engineering colleges in India offer admission based on the student’s performance in engineering entrance exams at the national or state level.
