The institute that was set up by Arun Netram offers three undergraduate programmes: Bachelor of Technology (B.
Tech) in Electronics and Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Computer Science and Engineering. These programmes are course-based, four-year full-time programmes for aspiring engineers in the region. Learner-centred physical infrastructure is also well developed at the Visvesvaraya Technological University Regional Center to facilitate student learning and development.
The Visvesvaraya Technological University Regional Center also has a good library with students’ easy access to plenty of educational materials and other references. The high growth of the tech sector requires that the institute put up relevant I. T. equipment to facilitate practical exercise for the students.
The centre also holds departmental laboratories through which learners can practise in their area of specialisation. In the same specific regard, a health centre with first aid facilities is accessible on campus, and safeguarding the health of learners and anybody in the company is important.
As to the field of study, at the present time, Visvesvaraya Technological University Regional Center, Kalaburagi, offers only three programmes . These courses are developed to address the emerging need for competent professionals in Electronics and Computer Engineering , Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Computer Science and Engineering specialities.
Admission to these programmes depends largely on the Karnataka Common Entrance Test ( KCET ), which is the examination that all engineering students seeking enrolment in institutions in the state of Karnataka must take. This exam is taken at the state level, which should be clear to the students who want to join the B. Tech. programmes of this institute.
The KCET is administered every year, usually in April or May, and the results are normally released in June. After the declaration of KCET results, this institute conducts its own admission test in accordance with the merit secured by the candidates in the KCET along with the marks obtained by them in the 10 + 2 or an equivalent examination.
