VIT College of Education, Meerut

VIT College of Education, Meerut was established in 2009 and is an affiliated college located in Uttar Pradesh, India. This co-educational college has a compact campus of 0. 7413 acres. The major objective of the college is to train and develop future educators. The college has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education's.

The library also offers national and international journals and is in the process of going digital with its institutional membership of DELNET. For the practical learning, the VIT College of Education is well-equipped with Art, Craft, and Gardening labs where all the materials are provided to the students needed for their creative pursuits.

The campus is enabled with Wi-Fi, and computer labs feature 19 modern computers installed that connect the students with virtual world and maintain them in synchronisation with advanced technological developments. Presently, VIT College of Education in Meerut has offered one full-time course to the students pursuing a Bachelor of Education programme .

This is approved to have an intake of 100 students and undergoes a two-year course to get prepared as a professional to take up the responsibility of teaching. The B. Ed curriculum offered by VIT College of Education is considered to be holistic in nature. It combines both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching experience to produce well-rounded educators.

Merit-based admission is provided in VIT College of Education. The institution measures its potential students based on their performance in the qualification examination and/or an entrance examination. Besides, this will be along with any other mode of selection that is administered by the state government, U. T. Administration, and university based on policy issues.

Based on the above approach, only the highly deserving and capable candidates are admitted to the B. Ed. programme in the college under this approach. The VIT College of Education, Meerut, would thus provide an all-rounded education. In addition to academics, the college provides grounds for sports and other games to keep students fit.

There are various sporting equipment and grounds for cricket, badminton, kabaddi, and volleyball and athletics track. College also provides an auditorium to address events and seminars, a canteen providing various food items, and a health centre having first aid facilities.
