The Karnataka state government offers students with Karnataka domicile different scholarships so that they can pursue their higher education and earn a degree that helps them sustain themselves. Some of these scholarships are- The incentive for SSLC & 2nd PUC students: This scheme is run by the Minority Welfare Department, Directorate of Minorities, Government of Karnataka to help students of the minority community.
Students who have passed class 10 (SSLC) or class 12 (2nd PUC) with 85% of marks or above in the examinations conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or Department of Pre-University Education will receive the benefits under this incentive scheme. The top 1000 SSLC and top 1000 2nd PUC students of the minority community can win one-time incentives of INR 10,000 and INR 20,000 respectively.
Post-matric scholarship for minorities: This Karnataka scholarship aims at encouraging and providing financial assistance to the students of the minority community of the state to allow them to continue their studies at the post-matriculation level.
Applicable mainly to students of communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains, the scholarship tends to cover the admission fee, maintenance allowance, and tuition fee. Devaraj Urs Pratibha Puraskar Karnataka Scholarship: The Devaraj Urs Pratibha Puraskar Karnataka scholarship is a program introduced by the government of Karnataka.
It provides financial assistance to students from SC/ST, OBC, and EBC communities. This scholarship is available to undergraduate and postgraduate students who have achieved a minimum of 90% marks in their previous qualifying examinations.
