VJs College of Pharmacy, Rajahmundry

VJs College of Pharmacy, Rajahmundry, was established in the year 2007. This affiliated college, located at Diwancheruvu, has set a mark in the areas of pharmacy studies. It offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in pharmacy and is approved by the PCI.

Spread over a 2-acre campus, Vjs College of Pharmacy has a total student enrolment of 368 and a faculty strength of 37 for a very favourable student-teacher ratio so that each student gets due care and quality education. The institution boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure to provide students with the best environment for learning.

The campus houses various well-equipped laboratories that are brilliantly designed and includes an industry-scale tablet-manufacturing unit. This, in turn offers undergraduate students hands-on practical experience under the tutelage of expert guidance.

The library is a treasure house of knowledge, which has a collection of almost 5000 volumes with nearly 1500 titles; more than 700 CD versions of books; journals and magazines abound in good numbers. It provides a peaceful studying environment and is fully automated and digitised for easy access to resources.

The institute also provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls to make the students feel comfortable and safe while studying far away from home. The curriculum at VJs College of Pharmacy also provides for all-round development in students through extra-curricular activities.

Good sports infrastructure supports indoor games such as badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and outdoor games like snooker, chess, and carrom, and lawn tennis. There is a gym available for those interested in keeping fit. The management runs six buses covering major residential areas, bus stops, and railway stations in Rajahmundry city to help students in their commute.

VJs College of Pharmacy runs a total of four different courses , out of which one is at the undergraduate level and three at the postgraduate level. B. Pharma is a full-time, four-year course with an intake capacity of 100 students. At the postgraduate level, the college offers three M. Pharma programmes : Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Analysis, with an intake of 15 each and a duration of two years.

All courses are offered in full-time mode, catering to students who wish to plunge headlong into some intensive pharmaceutical studies. The admission process would be such that it would be fair and comprehensive in VJs College of Pharmacy.
