Yellamma Dasappa Institute of Technology, Bangalore, started in 2001–2002, is one of the leading educational institutions offering engineering courses in the state of Karnataka. Located in Kanakapura Main Road, Raghuvanahalli, YDIT is approved and recognised for the undergraduate engineering courses. This makes the institute an affiliated college as a way of showing that it will maintain high academic standards.

YDIT has 37 dedicated faculties, and it aims to offer excellent education in multiple fields of engineering. The institute uses the score acquired from COMEDK UGET and KCET for admissions in order to enrol talented students. The facilities are one of the key strengths of YDIT, as are the opportunities provided to its learners to develop themselves to the full.

A department-wise, well-equipped laboratory is available, which blends practical knowledge imperatives in engineering education. A number of libraries provide various means of information for academics as a knowledge base. Other facilities displayed in the training offer balanced personalities, including the sports grounds and a gym to help students get the right health recipes for scholarships.

YDIT also has separate hostels for boys and girls for outstation students with basic facilities for comfortable living. The campus itself has technologically adequate computers and other IT equipment to support internet needs. A separate building for conducting large meetings, seminars, and so on; a canteen; a medical first aid facility; and a car park are also available.

It also provides transport facilities to make the transport of the day scholar a comfortable one. Yellamma Dasappa Institute of Technology has a total of five undergraduate programmes that are all conventional, full-time engineering programmes.

The BE programmes offered in YDIT are Civil Engineering , Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering , Information Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Each of these programmes takes four years of study and is intended to offer students comprehensive training in their academic disciplines, both in the classroom and in practice.

The courses offered at the institute show a breadth of engineering specialisations, indicating the institute’s versatility, and aim to meet as many student needs as possible who wish to build a career in the technological realm.

The admission process at Yellamma Dasappa Institute of Technology is primarily based on the scores of two prominent entrance examinations: the COMEDK UGET and the KCET entrance examination for admission into programmes offered in the medical, engineering, and dental colleges of Karnataka.

These exams are well known and acknowledged in Karnataka for engineering admissions and therefore provide the best and most competent competition possible.
