Exam ID Card at true CR80 size

Built for the physical card, not only the browser preview

This generator prints at the ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 card size, also called CR80: 3.375 × 2.125 inches (85.6 × 54 mm). That is the size used by PVC card printers, lanyard cardholders, and standard ID-card pouches, so the Save-as-PDF output is meant for real production instead of being a scaled screenshot.

Exam cards are used for candidate verification at the room door; roll number, exam name, centre or room, and reporting time are the details invigilators need first. The form keeps the required details visible on the face of the card and leaves optional emergency or validity details off when they are not supplied.

What must be checked before printing

For exam cards, verify candidate name, roll or application number, exam name, and room or centre against the final exam list before printing. Check spelling against the admission register, employee record, visitor register, or exam list before printing because card errors usually become operational problems at the gate, classroom, library, or examination room.

For durable cards, export from the print dialog as PDF and print on PVC through a card printer. For small batches, print on thick photo paper, cut to the card boundary, and laminate. The sizing remains the same in both workflows.

Format source

Uses ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 (CR80) card dimensions and examination verification conventions: candidate name, photo, roll/application number, exam name, centre or room, reporting time, and exam date.

Frequently asked questions

Is an exam ID card the same as a hall ticket?

No. A hall ticket usually carries a fuller schedule and instructions on a larger page. This tool produces a compact card-sized candidate ID for verification and room entry.

What details should an exam ID card show?

Candidate name and photo, exam name, roll or application number, centre/room, reporting time, exam date, and the exam authority or institution name.

Can this be used for coaching test series?

Yes. Put the test-series name in the exam field and the classroom or branch in the centre/room field.

Should candidates still carry government ID?

For public or entrance exams, yes if the conducting body requires it. This generator is for institution-managed internal exams and test-series cards.
