Malappuram Centre of Aligarh Muslim University popularly known as AMU Malappuram Centre is one of the constituent college of the recognised University Aligarh Muslim University which came into existence in the year 2010. This co-educational institution is established at Cherukara, Chelamala, Perinthlamanna, Malappuram, Kerala and is recognised from The Bar Council of India (BCI).
The true emphasis of this centre comes alive in its 5-year BA LLB (Hons) programme. There are 13 talented professors in the faculty of AMU Malappuram Centre and the college takes sincere effort towards imparting quality education to its students in the field of law. A good number of facilities are available in the institute to support learning and other competency needs of the students.
The campus comes with smart classes that will contain instructional tools that support the teaching-learning process. A good library as a student, gives them an access to different form of literature and research materials in law. Advocacy school, moot court facility provides an opportunity of students to practice what they learn in courtroom environment.
The AMU Malappuram Centre as of now has only one full-time course namely the BA LLB (Hons) program me for which the intake has been approved by the university to be sixty students. Integrated five years programme and this programme offers two distinct but interrelated fields of study, arts and law, to enable the student to gain proper understanding of the legal system and principles and their operating environment.
The course is intended to make the students competent professionals in their chosen legal field. AMU Malappuram Centre, an affiliated college of AMU Aligarh, selection is on merit basis and students seeking admission to this centre have to compete for a place.
