Apollo School of Nursing, Aizawl

Apollo School of Nursing Aizawl set up in 2015, is a private institution fully involved in offering training in nursing sciences in Aizawl, which is in the State of Mizoram. This is a co-educational establishment which is affiliated to INC to provide concentrated programme in nursing. Located on a 0. 25 acres campus, this school offers desirable teaching conditions for the total of 103 students enrolled.

The faculty of the institute is having 11 members which provide proper student-teacher ratio so that every student should get proper attention and education in nursing. To support the academic activities of the students Apollo School of Nursing has various amenities for learning. Thus it can act as a knowledge base, that can provide vast amounts of the knowledge needed for the education of nurses.

A well equipped laboratory is necessary to offer such experiences of hands on that is very important in the nursing training.. The college has an auditorium for events, seminars and other college related activities that make the environment lively academic one. In order to help students’ all round development, the institution has gotten facilities for carrying out sporting activities.

Health comprises a health centre that attends to first aid needs in cases of emergencies.

In order to meet the needs of students from different areas of the country, Apollo school of nursing offers accommodation facilities for boys as well as for girls which provide an ambiance of home away from home for those who come for getting education for becoming a nurse, this helps them a lot to make their nursing dreams come true.

At the moment, Apollo School of Nursing, Aizawl provides only one basic course – the programme General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). This course takes three years to complete for any qualified nurse or midwife who intends to return to school for further training.

The institute has an average off 50 students admitted for this programme, this shows that the institute wants to maintain the standard of its education through limiting the number of students admitted to each class. The admission process of Apollo School of Nursing Aizawl is to admit individuals committed toward becoming good nurses.

The GNM programme being the flagship course of this institution must have very competitive admission requirements.
