This affiliated college recognised by AICT E is offering many opportunities of engineering and management courses. BGIET campus spread over 25 acres approved total in of students 1943 and faculty strength is 126.
The institute makes available 15 courses at three level of degrees that include different engineering fields and management. BGIET's commitment to gender diversity is evident in its student body, comprising 1,031 male and 564 female students, reflecting a 2:1 ratio. Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology Sangrur takes great pride in developing a variety of facilities that satisfy the needs of students.
For the fitness of the students, adequate gymnasium and an array of sports facilities are well provided. The institute being a healthcare organisation has made it compulsory to have health centre on its compound so as to minister necessary medical assistance to the students and employees hence promoting the overall well being of the institute.
The Information Technology facility used at BGIET is impressive including Wi-fi enabled campus, a internet bandwidth of 12 Mbps used for accessing internet and other on-line applications. The college library serves as an information centre with about 500 e-books, and accessing 200 current periodicals in different disciplines.
Presently, BGIET has 15 courses for its students out of which some of them are undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It offers 11 B. Tech programmes as full time and 4 M. Tech programmes and MBA in its campus. The annual approved intake for all courses is six hundred and sixty students only. The BGIET Sangrur follows certain admission procedure and the main criteria for admission here are merit. For B.
Tech degrees the institute accepts scores from the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main , a nationwide entrance examination for engineering. As a result, there is increased confidence that the institute is able to attract students with a high level of mathematical and scientific abilities .
