BI BI Raza Degree College for Women Arts and Science, Gulbarga, the institution of women’s education, was established in 1977 at Kalaburagi, Karnataka. The college is affiliated with Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women's University, Vijayapura . The affiliated college, spread over an area of 5 acres, has over four decades of experience in shaping young minds.

It enrols a total of 2,112 students and a faculty of 29, providing an opportunity for Students to pursue courses in arts and sciences. It feels proud to be affiliated to NAAC which reflects its concern for endless quality education with 2 courses in 2 degrees.

BI BI Raza Degree College for Women Arts and Science has made available exercising equipment with aims of improving the results of the tops through extension of a variety of facilities that can promote learning. The modern library with nearly 10,000 volumes of books, encyclopaedias, and dictionaries meets the need for scholarly activities.

The health centre, accompanied by the first aid, has been provided for students to maintain their health. For those who have chosen an active lifestyle, there is a gym in the college. The use of these learners has also been facilitated by the availability of the internet in the college. The sports department organises inter-class competition, games and sports and special training for gifted children every year.

Other facilities include the current state IT facilities, practical performance laboratories, and an auditorium for occasions inside the institution. Canteen serves the staff and student community for their food requirements; Guest House is used to house visiting faculty and students’ families. Overall, BI BI Raza Degree College has two courses offered, and all the courses are on a full-time basis.

These are two undergraduate programmes namely, BA and B. Sc. of three years' duration. In addition to that, the admission of BI BI Raza Degree College follows an open and competitive system. It probably operates under the rules of the parent university, where it can adopt the admission standards.
