To complement its technological policies, the college recently overhauled its computer laboratory with PCs that include 16 modern computers connected to the internet. This section of this lab is also supervised by a qualified teaching assistant and includes scanning and printing services.

Because the methods of teaching vary, the institute has access to optical appliances like overhead projectors, audio systems, and television sets. Calcutta Institute of Education currently offers one full-time course: The Bachelor of Education (B. Ed. ) programme. This two-year degree programme has an approved intake of 100 students to ensure the Institute maintains its quality in teacher training.
