College of Teacher Education, Bidar

The College of Teacher Education Bidar was started in the year 2015 and is situated at Shaheen Nagar Shahpur Gate Bidar, Karnataka. This mixed college is focused on preparing future tutors through a programme that offers education degrees, B. Ed. The college is a Constituent College of MANUU Hyderabad .

The college is a small college situated in a 1-acre area, and at present there are 74 students and 8 teaching faculties only. The college has provided amenities that will improve the learning experience of its learners as detailed below. These are adequately utilised, as they offer an occasion for physical evaluation in addition to recreation, a crucial factor for anyone wanting to teach.

Modern libraries play an important role; they serve as a tome centre and provide resources to students, which are very fundamental in research and studies. The college also has departmental laboratories where students have hands-on experience in their areas of specialisation. Having understood the place of technology, today’s learning institution has put in place excellent IT facilities.

This is an undergraduate course, which takes two academic years to complete and offers students direct preparation to teach.

The college is scheduled to offer 100 seats in each of these years for this programme, thus offering satisfying opportunities for those who want to become teachers. The admission procedure of the B. Ed programme in the College of Teacher Education, Bidar, is purely on merit.

In other cases, students are selected through an entrance examination, while in others, they are selected on a merit basis in the qualifying examination. The college also takes into account any other mode of selection as may be expressed in the policies of the state government, the Union Territory administration and the university.
