The Directorate of Distance Education of the Maulana Azad National Urdu University recognized as one of the premier distance learning institution situated in Hyderabad offers the course. The MANUU was established to see that the directorate was responsible for ensuring that quality education was made available to more people.

Established in Gachibowli, Hyderabad the institute has got the accreditation from the University Grants Commission (UGC) which makes its course all the more authentic. The directorate provides 11 courses in 5 programs of study with an emphasis in arts and humanities.
