Government College of Engineering, established in 1996, is a prestigious autonomous engineering institution in Maharashtra. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and accredited with NAAC B+. GCOE Jalgaon offers full-time BTech, MTech , and PhD programmes in core engineering disciplines.

The BTech programmes include Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, and Instrumentation Engineering. Postgraduate programmes include M. Tech in Heat Power, Digital Systems, and Electrical Instrumentation & Control. Admissions to UG programmes are based on MHT-CET while PG admissions require a valid GATE score.

As per NIRF 2025 data, a total number of 135 students were placed from the undergraduate at a GCOE Jalgaon median salary package of Rs 3. 5 LPA with the help of the placement cell.

Since the college is affiliated to Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University , thus the placement cell conducts training sessions in soft skills, technical aptitude, and interview readiness, ensuring students are well-prepared for recruitment drives Government College of Engineering Jalgaon also provides placement assistance to its students.
