Government Engineering College, Wayanad (GEC Wayanad) was established by the Government of Kerala in 1999. The Government Engineering College Wayanad has been approved by AICTE. The GEC Wayanad is affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram . The Government Engineering College, Wayanad offers 7 courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Courses offered in GEC Wayanad include 5 B. Tech and 2 M. Tech courses. GEC Wayanad courses are offered in the fields of computer science engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering , mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering , and communication engineering, and others.

Family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per Annum. Students must be admitted in first-year diploma/undergraduate degree level programmes/courses in AICTE approved institutions. Rs. 30,000 or the actual tuition fees paid, whichever is less.

Contingency allowance of Rs 2000 per month for a duration of 10 months. PRAGATI Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students Two girls per family. The family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum. Students must be admitted in first-year diploma/undergraduate degree level programmes/courses in AICTE approved institutions. An amount of Rs. 30,000 or the actual tuition fees paid, whichever is less.

Contingency allowance of Rs 2000 per month for ten months. Scheme of 'Merit cum Means Based Scholarship' For Students Belonging to The Minority Communities The scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured more than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination. The annual income of the family from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2. 50 lakhs per annum. An amount of Rs.

20,000 per annum. Scheme of 'Post Matric Scholarship' For Students Belonging to The Minority Communities Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured more than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination. The annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs per annum.

The students must be admitted for in the first year diploma/undergraduate degree level programmes/courses in AICTE approved institutions. The admission and tuition fee for UG & PG level is Rs. 3,000 per annum. Note: The students of the institute are also encouraged to apply for various state and national scholarships.
