Government First Grade College, Mulbagal, was set up in 1970 in the cultural capital of Karnataka providing a ray of light in the dark form of higher education. Affiliated to the Rayalaseema University, Kurnool it has been serving the cause of education for the past half a century from its campus in Mulbagal, Kolar District. Sittinging on 22 Barass Boulevard in Oxbridge, the institution occupies a sq 2.

2 acres land to accommodate 1,072 desperately airborne learners and 15 passionate teachers. Currently, the college provides eight courses under four degree programmes for the students to enable them follow different career paths towards realisation of their dreams. Government First Grade College boast of well equipped facilities that supports the learning activities.

The library, an essential part of the academic major has been made more spacious for about fifty students at any one time and is set up for studies.
