The Government Law College, Ahmedabad, is the only 2nd government college of the State of Gujarat, established in the year of 2008 at Shri K. K. Shastri Educational Campus, Maninagar (East) with a vision to provide Legal Education to the Students of this Eastern part of Ahmadabad who are desirous to achieve this prestigious professional degree of Law.

Law College aims at preparing Law Experts and Professionals with deeper faith and wider Vision. Since 14 years College has given best practice advocates to the society, with distinguished, kind personalities being a pride and precious alumnus of the College.

To establish and maintain a center for excellence, awareness, training, and innovation in legal education with a view to developing and sustaining professionals in the legal field and inculcating the spirit of the Constitution, secularism, scientific temper, and rule of law amongst them to enlighten the society about the importance and unity of true legal professionals and to attract talent in the legal field and to give them the opportunity to reach greater heights.

The Bachelor of Laws is the flagship programme offered by the Government Law College, Ahmedabad, an affiliated college of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, . The admission for the LLB three-year course will be strictly through performance in the entrance examination graduate degree, which normally takes three years, in addition to their performance in a law entrance test that the university conducts.

This intake for LLB has been approved at 60 students for the college to maintain an efficient selection process and retain the excellent student-faculty ratio.
