Government Law College, Kota was established in 2005 in the campus at Tagore Nagar, Rawatbhata Road, Kota, Rajasthan and it is affiliated college. It is one of BCI approved institution which is indeed committed to deliver quality legal education. Located in a 1. 5 acre of land currently it has total student strength of 331 students and total faculty strength of 8 members.

In order to meet the rising students’ expectations and their desire to qualify as professional lawyers, the Government Law College, Kota currently offers two specific courses in the field of law. Government Law College ensures it offers appropriate environment for learning by students. These include several amenities that aim at improving learning environment and personality of the students.

The library is a resource centre in the college that provides students with a variety of legal publications that would assist the student in study and research. From the perspective of law students the moot court facility is a valuable resource that gives students actual experience of what is experienced in court and an opportunity to polish on their advocacy skills.

This college also underscores the physical health, with the sports amenities to ensure students in the college carry out balanced activities. Further, there is a first aid health centre which is in place on campus to address the need and the welfare of the college fraternity.

Government Law College, Kota currently offers two full-time courses: A three years Bachelor of Laws ( LLB ) programme and a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Laws ( PGD Labour Laws ). Being the flagship of the college the LLB programme is approved for an intention of one twenty students for each academic year offering enough openings to students who want to pursue a career in law.

These programmes are aimed at preparing student for complete learning of law and the techniques which will enable one to base his/her career in different legal areas of specialisation. The admission for admission in this law college follows a proper procedure and a very stringent selection process in order to get the deserving candidates in the law stream.
