Government Teacher Training College, Hazaribagh has been established in 1982 recognized as one of the premier institution committed to teacher education in Jharkhand, India. Situated at Jheel Road, Hazaribagh-825301, It is a co-educational college affiliated to KOLAGH to and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). They enroll close to ninety students for the Bachelor of Education (B.

Ed) while the faculty is manned by 12 staff members. To ensure students who undergo through the college in the future are well prepared to teach in the future, the college has a conducive learning environment on campus. Government Educator Trade school, Hazaribagh is affiliated with the college Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh.

The college was well equipped with various facilities to enable the students to success both academically and socially. The school library contains 5,238 books and is a major source of learning for teacher education. To support practical learning the college has organized well equipped departmental laboratories.

Through modern IT facilities the campus is equipped to enable learner to be in touch with technologies in learning. Students of both genders have access to hostels; the girls’ hostel section provides hostel space to 100 students. Extra facilities are a canteen, hall for meetings and conferences, car park and a health complex with amenities for first aid treatment.

The Government Teacher Training College provides a full time four semester B. Ed course which extends up to two years. The college conducts this course in section and the annual intake is already approved for one hundred students thus sufficient for those interested in teaching. This program is aimed at preparing students to the required level in order to be able to succeed within the field of education.
