Guru Nanak Dev Institute of Nursing Education and Research, Sangrur

Guru Nanak Nursing Institute established in 2004 at Sangrur, Punjab is one of the largest independent institutions providing nursing education in the state of Punjab, India. It is situated in Sunam, Sangrur district and as vast as 19 acres of area which has been accommodating the institute.

This co-educational nursing college in approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) which provides specialised nursing courses to the student’s nursing healthcare science. Currently, the institute enrols in up to 136 students to ensure that any student joining the institute has the focused learning needs that the nursing profession requires.

Guru Nanak Nursing Institute has a range of amenities, most of which are equipped with state of the art gadgets considered ideal for improving the outcome of the learning process of its learners. There are well spacious and well ventilated classroom in the campus area to cover the teaching learning process and discussions.

This reality is clearly demonstrated by the institute’s highly equipped Fundamental, Community, Nutrition, Computer, MCH, Anatomy, and Biochemistry practical laboratories.

Guru Nanak Dev Institute of Nursing Education and Research offers two full-time nursing courses: two – the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme and a second year Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) programme. The theoretical component, the three-year GNM course has 50 intakes, and the 2-year ANM course has 30 intakes.

Both of the courses are aimed at developing theoretical background and practical experience necessary for an effective nursing practice.
