Haldia Institute of Nursing Science which was set up in 2010 is a self-financed institute situated at Haldia, West Bengal. This co-educational institution recognised by INC and aims at imparting education in nursing. Located in an area of 2. 24 acres, the institute provides a special atmosphere for learning among nurse hopefuls.

It currently has a total enrolment of 150 students and a faculty strength of one so that every student receives ample attention. The available facilities at the Haldia Institute of Nursing Science include a host of amenities that improve learning, as well as the general health of the students. The institute offers; male and female hostels to enhance the living standards of the students living in the hostels.

A library well stocked is a treasure trove of information and infact some information that is very essential for nursing education. This institution also has departmental laboratories which are crucial in aspects of skills improvement in nursing processes. The institute currently offers one full-time course: The General Nursing and Midwifery Programme. This course has been developed to take three years and will qualify the successful candidates for nursing practice emphasising general nursing techniques and practical midwifery.
