Helen Lowry College, Aizawl

Helen Lowry College was founded in 2017 and is one of the leading educational institutions of today in Aizawl, Mizoram. This affiliated college is spread over a small area of 3. 44 acres and provides many undergraduate courses. The total enrolment of Helen Lowry College is 102 total and the faculty staff is 18, hence making it more compact.

The college provides six full-time courses in two different degree streams, arts and commerce. Helen Lowry College of Arts & Commerce, Aizawl, established on 23 August 2017 and rooted in the Seventh-day Adventist educational tradition, is affiliated with Mizoram University and recognised under the UGC.

Helen Lowry College has constructed several structures that can be broadly categorised as infrastructural and experiential. The campus also contains separate hostels for both boys and girls for appropriate accommodation depending on the needs of the student. A reference section is well well-stocked library and plays an important role in assisting learners in their academic and research activities.

The college also retains departmental laboratories, which play a critical role in the college’s practical lessons and exercises in their respective fields. Besides, students can engage in sporting activities since the schools provide sports facilities to ensure students do not give much attention to their academic work.

A concert hall and facilities organise different performances and seminars which enrich life and study on the campus. In fact, Helen Lowry College comprises a total of six courses , and all of them are fully based on the full-time course structure. These are five BA Honours programmes of Sociology, Political Science , History, English, and Education , and Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com).
