Heritage College of Education, Howrah

Heritage College of Education, Howrah was established in the year 2014. This is an affiliated College, situated at Rabibhag, Howrah District of West Bengal. Being an institution that is Co-Educational, it got its approval from NCTE and runs end-to-end courses specially in Education. The college is located on a 2-acre campus. The enrolment for the college stands at 149 students, and the faculty strength is at 32.

Heritage College of Education offers two full-time degree courses of teacher training and elementary education. The college has a lot to offer to its students in terms of amenities available. It has a well-stocked library with over 3,300 books, journals, monographs, and reports that will be very helpful to aid students in their academic pursuit of research and study.

The campus also contains both outdoor and indoor sports facilities for those students who are more interested in or concerned with sports and physical fitness. Outdoor sports include football, volleyball, badminton, and others. Intrinsic games such as table tennis, carom, and chess are participated in within the campus.

Heritage College of Education has very well-equipped laboratories in various subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Life Science, Psychology, Geography, and a Language Laboratory. The college offers two major courses in the undergraduate section: Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education, where both are regular courses with a duration of two years each. Ed 100 The merit-cum-admission process into Heritage College of Education happens based on marks obtained in the Qualifying examination and/or Entrance Examination. Admissions into the college are based on the policies adopted for admission by the West Bengal State Government and/or the affiliated University. While making admissions to the B. Ed. program, the policy adopted by the State Government will be followed.
