Himachal Institute of Technology Sirmour also known as HIT is one among the first generation engineering college established in the year 2008. This affiliated college is situated in paonta sahib in himachal pradesh and this college has 10 acre of land. HIT is accredited by the AICTE, All India Council for Technical Education, which guarantees students will receive quality education in the sphere of engineering.

Currently, the institute is providing 6 B. Tech programmes, including a total student enrolment of 309 and 80 a faculty bar. Himachal Institute of Technology boasts some of these facilities to improve the student experience throughout their study in the institute as a one-stop centre. The campus also has a boy’s hostel as well as girl’s hostel therefore out-station students are provided comfortable accommodation.

The accommodation facilities include well stocked library to enhance the students’ information resources while well-equipped laboratory to meet pragmatic trains leaning exercise across the various engineering specialisation areas. Himachal Institute of Technology offers the admission to students through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main . This examination is recognised and accepted at the national level for engineering entrance in the country.
