IITS College, Guna

IITS College, Guna, was started in 2005 and is an affiliated college located in Guna, District Madhya Pradesh. Located close to the Chintaharan Mandir at Toll Tax Barrier on A. B Road, this institution has been delivering education in the region for more than fifteen years. The college is, situated on a total of 0. 459 acres of compact campus, providing a broad portfolio of undergraduate and diploma courses.

The college has sixteen full-fledged educators in its faculty and aims at offering standard education in Commerce, Science, Arts, and Teacher Education. IITS College fraternity has employed various facilities that seek to improve on the learning process of the learners.

Football enthusiasts and cricketers can access facilities for these two games and in addition two grounds each for basketball and volleyball, one ground each for tennis and badminton. Other recreational activities that one could participate form include indoor games such as tennis, carrom, chess and among others.

The college incorporates and implements its policy on overall development as seen by the well-equipped laboratories. Psychology Lab, Science Lab and Computer Lab are the facilities available to student which are helpful in educational process. An auditorium is used for occasions and meetings and helps maintain an active ambience.

The school library as one of the major academic facilities contains books, magazines and journals to aid students in their availed information. IITS College has put a lot of resources into making sure that they have the best IT. The campus also includes a cafeteria; the organisational setting where learners and personnel can freely converse and socialise.

For students, transport facilities are also available in the college in order to make education easily accessible. At present, IITS College only has 2 courses of which belong to five different degree programmes to satisfy all academic disciplines. The programmes covered are full time undergraduate programmes in Education, the two-year D. El. Ed programme and B. Ed.

These courses are intended to as give students a sound academic base and practical skills, to allow them to continue with further studies or join the workforce. The D. El. Ed and B. Ed programmes are approved for 50 intakes each. These provide flexibility in allowing a student to pursue a course of their choice depending on the personality parish of the student.

Admissions policy of IITS College, Guna is properly worked out according to state government and the concerned university norms. Admission to the D. El. Ed and B. Ed programmes are merit based on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination and /or any entrance examination mentioned in the advertisement.

It also may use other techniques of selection as per requirements defined in the rules and regulation of Madhya Pradesh government and affiliating university of the college. IITS College has a recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), therefore its teacher education programmes.
