Itahar Government Polytechnic, Raiganj

Itahar Government Polytechnic, established in 2019, is one of the newest technical institutes in Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal. This affiliated college, approved by AICTE, has diploma courses in different streams of engineering with a total student enrolment of 458 and faculty strength of 10, thus providing an ideal environment for the grooming of budding engineers.

The polytechnic currently offers three full-time diploma courses of three years duration in Computer Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. It has quite an appreciable number of facilities that will help its students excel in the learning processes.

The library is quite a resource centre with adequate books and reference books from different fields of studies. Itahar Government Polytechnic has well-equipped, department-based laboratories where students can put theoretical knowledge into practice.

The institute also believes in the balance of education and hence provides sports facilities for physical fitness, development of team spirit, and so on amongst the students. At the same time, the institute has excelled in IT infrastructure, ensuring that students are fully conversant with the latest technology that would be required in their future careers.

This is an Affiliated College of West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, Kolkata. Itahar Government Polytechnic designs its academic courses in such a way that it caters to the ever-increasing requirement of the industries for qualified technicians and engineers.
