Jayadev Institute of Social Sciences and Research Admission 2026

Jayadev Institute of Social Sciences and Research (JISSR), Bhubaneswar, is the most prominent and costly institution for learning social sciences and rural management. The institute has a complete admission process designed to select the most suitable candidates for its specialised programmes.

In this holistic admission policy, JISSR evaluates candidates by taking into account their academic background as well as personal qualities. It usually begins with the advertisement of applications for its postgraduate programmes, after which applicants are required to submit their applications to the institute, stating their academic qualifications and all relevant other particulars.

Then, they are reviewed by the academic teams in JISSR to create a potential shortlist. Both the Master of Social Work (MSW) and the MA in Rural Management use two vital parts in their JISSR Bhubaneswar admission process: the performance of the candidates in their previous qualifying examination and a personal interview.

Shortlisted candidates after the first screening of applications will be called for a one-on-one interview. These interviews form a critical part in the selection process, since they will enable the institute to understand the candidates' degree of interest in social sciences or rural management, their competence in the area of communication, and their overall fit with the programme.

Institutionally speaking, the results of interviews are combined with scores earned in the academic evaluation at the institute and make a final selection of successful candidates. The merit list of successful candidates is then put up on the noticeboard at the institute, so that everything is very clear to all about JISSR Bhubaneswar admission procedures.
