Kaliyaganj College of Education, established in the year 2011, is a coeducational B. Ed. College located in Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal. Being an affiliated college, it falls under the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and provides quality training education to its students. With this compact 1. 209-acre campus, the college has been running with 200 students at present along with 14 dedicated faculties.

These two professional degrees at Kaliyaganj College of Education prepare future teachers who will serve at the primary and secondary levels. The college aims at offering an ideal academic atmosphere for its students. As a result, the availability of different academics, as well as personal development facilities, is ensured.

The library serves as an information resource centre and offers material related to research and study. Well-equipped laboratories look after practical learning purposes, while IT infrastructure ensures that students remain connected with modern technologies in education. Sports facilities and a gym are available within the college compound for holistic development.

Two major teacher training programs are undertaken by the institution as far as the academic curriculum is concerned. College imparts total 150 seats across the courses. Both the courses are full time for two years duration so as to render the right type of skills and knowledge to the aspiring teachers of the nation. The B. Ed.

course develops a good understanding among the prospective teachers about the concept of teacher education. Course shall prepare students to teach at the secondary level, while D. El. Ed. will head toward primary education. These programs couple the theoretical knowledge along with practical teaching so that the graduates are fully armoured to face all modern challenges in the classrooms.

Any other criteria so prescribed by the state government, Union Territory administration, and the affiliating university shall also be followed for the purpose of admission. Admission to the D. El. Ed.

course shall be done on merit, it will be determined from the results of the candidate in his qualifying examination and/or entrance test, subject to any other additional selection process, if any, as prescribed by the concerned authority.
