Kalna Primary Teachers Training Institute, Burdwan

Kalna Primary Teachers Training Institute situated in Burdwan, West Bengal is a stand alone institute with exclusive focus on teacher education. This is a co-educational institution which was started in 2009 with the main purpose of preparing future educators. The national council for teacher education (NCTE) recognised institute is situated in a very small plot of 1 acres.

This institute has strength of 99 students and faculties are 4 so it also have less students in a class for better interfaced between faculties and students. It currently offers only one specialised programme namely Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) only to show the specialised aim of training the primary school teachers.

Kalna Primary Teachers Training Institute has all state-of-art equipment and infrastructure that can help in the improvement of learning capability of students. There is Library, which can be regarded as the knowledge centre of the school, and there are Departmental laboratories for practical purposes.

This is because the campus has also sports facilities and gym, which influence more health and fitness and physical development apart from academic enhancement. As for the conveniences of the students there is a cafeteria and a parking space.
