Kamakhya Institute of Education, North 24 Parganas

Kamakhya Institute of Education in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, is a stand-alone institute specialising in teacher education. It’s been two years since the school began its operations in 2016 and as a co-educational institution it is among the schools that are quickly making their mark in the education sector.

Affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute provides focused education for creating a new set of teachers. At present, Kamakhya Institute of Education offers one primary course, the Diploma in Elementary Education . It is a two year full course that prepares students for teaching at the elementary level.

This institute has an approved capacity of 50 students for this course, due to the general policy of reducing class size to assure quality delivery of education. Kamakhya Institute of Education is following state government guidelines to take admission based on the students’ merit. Applicants are assessed using the performance in qualifying examination, entrance examination or any other mode of selection as observed by the authorities.
