Karimpur Anita Primary Teachers Training Institute, formerly known as D. P. E. T. is situated at Nadia, West Bengal is one of the most recognised premier institutions in the field of teacher education. This blend of male and female education institutes was founded in the year 2015 and has come to be a very prominent institute in developing primary education at present.

Accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), this institute functions as an affiliated college, which conducts two regular courses in teacher education. Situated across 0. 78 acres of land, the campus of the institute can support 200 total enrolments, out of which 10 are members of the faculty.

Karimpur Anita Primary Teachers Training Institute is affiliated with Baba Saheb Ambedkar University , Kolkata and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The curriculum of Karimpur Anita Primary Teachers Training Institute comprises a total of two full time programmes , which is designed for the future teachers. The institute offers various course where annual intake of students is hundred in total. The two prime courses are B. Ed (Bachelor of Education) and D. El. Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) varying with a two years programme with 50 students in each course.

These programmes are intended to prepare students for a teaching profession that enables them teach at the primary and elementary level. Karimpur Anita Primary Teachers Training Institute considers marks obtained in the qualifying or entrance examination while admitting students. It continues admission policies provided by west Bengal state government and the university to which the institute is affiliated.

The candidates of B. Ed programme are selected according to the marks obtained in the qualifying test and entrance examination or any other modality permitted by the state and university concerned. Likewise, in case of D. El. Ed. programme also, admission is done on merit basis keeping in view the marks obtained in the qualifying and entrance examination, as per policy of state government/UT administration.
