Karnajora College of Education, Raiganj

Karnjorja College of Education, Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal, came into existence in the year 2016. It is a co-educational institution. The affiliated college has been accorded recognition by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. The college imparts teacher education courses for aspiring teachers.

It has a compact campus of about 1 acre, with a present total enrolment of 199 students and a faculty strength of 31. There are two full-time degree courses that the Karnajora College of Education offers, thus catering to aspiring educators from this part of the world. The college has sufficient facilities which help the students to enrich the learning process.

The college library is adequately equipped with more than 4250 books and has a reading room capacity for 100 students. The College also provides hostel facilities for both Boys and Girls for needy students.

The health and wellness of its students are taken care of by maintaining a first-aid health center right on campus, besides an attached gymnasium for physical fitness on one hand and outdoor sports facilities on the other. Besides, this place stands for a healthy approach to education.

It has a canteen meant to serve the daily needs of students and staff, IT infrastructure, laboratories for practical learning, a guest house, and a waiting room for visitors. Karnajora College of Education runs two regular time courses regarding Teaching Education: Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed).

It follows the admission policy adopted by the concerned state government of West Bengal and the affiliating university. The candidates for the B. Ed. course will be selected in order of their merit in the qualifying examination, entrance test, or any other selection process as per state and university guidelines. Admission to D. El. Ed.

also is given based on Merit in Qualifying Examination and through Entrance Examination, according to policies of the concerned State Government/ UT Administration.
