KN Bakshi College of Education, Giridih

KN Bakshi College of Education was established in the year 2013 at Karmatand of District Giridih Jharkhand is one of the affiliated college. The institute recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education and is primarily engaged in teacher education. The college is located at 3 acres and two full fledged courses are offered each Here the number of enrolment is 186 and the number of faculties are 30.

Set in the heart of Eastern India, K. N. Bakshi College of Education aims at delivering quality education to the students in the field of teaching by providing two primary courses B. Ed and D. El. Ed. As it was already mentioned, the college is co-educational and always promotes diversification of the students’ community.

The KN Bakshi College of Education provides a gamut of facilities to complement the educational as well as the total personality development of the students. College library is an informative centre and the institution boasts of over ten thousand books and other related materials. That creates a proper place for reading, studying and taking exams that students need.

The campus equipped with computerised laboratory having multimedia systems, internet supervised and useful educational software to provide technological improvement to the students. In addition, it contains a health centre which helps students deal with first aid facilities, that is, the college also focuses on student’s health.

Further, for the accommodation of out station students the campus boast of a different hostel facility for both boys and girls separately. KN Bakshi College of Education offers two full-time courses: (B. Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed ). It takes two years to complete both programmes but their focus is to produce qualified teachers among the student body.

The maximum intake for each of the course has been approved for 100 students and the total capacity of the two programmes would be 200 students. Following admission policies of the State Government of Jharkhand and affiliated university, the college admits students. For the B.

Ed programme, candidate shall be selected through their performance in qualifying examination, written test, interview and any other method as directed by the state government and university.
