Kolkata Teachers Training College, Narayanpur, was started in the year 2004, and it is a co-educational college of education. This affiliated college is spread over 2 acres in West Bengal and has the accreditation of NAAC. The NCTE-approved college offers three specialist courses in education. The enrolment of 500 students and a teaching faculty of 28 ensures that the learning environment remains focused.

In the college, course facilities are arranged to enhance students' learning experiences. A properly equipped library functions as a knowledge hub. Here, it simply means that admission to D. El. Ed. shall be based on a merit list prepared from the qualifying examination marks, or any other selection process prescribed by the policy of the State Government.

A similar pattern exists for the B. Ed course also with an added consideration coming from University guidelines. Admission to M. Ed. course shall be on merit bases in the qualifying examination or based on the Entrance Test conducted herein, subject to policies of the State Government/University/UT administration.
