KS Education College, Gwalior

KS Education College is an affiliated college that was established in 2009 and is situated in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). This college occupies a small plot and provides specialisations in teacher education. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to conform to the national standards in training teachers.

Presently, KS Education College has a faculty strength of 17 committed teachers and provides two full-time courses of teaching in education for the executives intending to be teachers at different capacities. The college has several services that are intended to improve the learning environment of the students of the college.

Largely, the library plays the role of an information centre as the central source of reference materials for learning. School-based laboratories meet the pragmatic elements of the teacher training and development course since the practical work takes place at the departmentally managed laboratories.

By having a proper IT-equipped building, the college exposes the students to various technological changes in education. An auditorium focuses on events and seminars to foster intellectual events or cultural performances. Also, there is the provision of sports facilities that foster healthy body development apart from the healthy mind that accompanies the acquisition of academic knowledge.

Education as a field of specialisation is offered at KS Education College in two major programmes . The B. Ed. programme is a two-year full-time course with an intake capacity of 100 students of the following combinations of subjects. This programme is aimed at students who intend to teach at the secondary and higher secondary levels. The second one is Diploma in Elementary Education, D. El. Ed.

, which is a two-year full-time course and admits 50 students every year to make eligible candidates for teaching at the primary stage. In addition, these two programmes aim at skills concerned with instruction, subject matter, and classroom experience. KS Education College's admission policy also conforms to competitive policy, in which marks scored in relevant examinations and tests are taken into consideration.

Regarding the admission procedure of the B. Ed. programme , the college follows norms of state government/UT administration, affiliated university, etc.
