Langta Baba College, which was started in the year 1983 is a well known college in Giridih, Jharkhand. This affiliated college is located in a large plot of 22. 53 acres of land and the college has been molding the academic environment of the region for nearly four decades. The college is accredited with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), thus focusing on the quality of provision.

The college currently has 3471 students enrolled and faculty at 25, it hosts broad spectrum of undergraduate courses in various fields. Langta Baba College has a well equipped sophisticated facilities that are essential in improving the college learnng environment. A well-stocked library helps students to access to a variety of academic information as a source of knowledge.

The campus is Wi-Fi enabled to allow wireless networking to the students and staff in all units. Modernised laboratories fulfil practical knowledge requirements of science students, and there is also an auditorium for different activities such as seminars, events, etc.

The college also cater for the health needs of the members of the college through provision of health facilities and amenities in the college health centre. As for schooling enthusiasts, the college has sound facilities in this subject area under the supervision of an experienced qualified Physical Training Instructor (PTI).

There are six degree programmes offered in the Langta Baba College and all these courses are day programmes. These are BA , B. Sc, B. Com and variations that include honours. The college has also fixed a total student intake fora ggregate enrolments across all course at 2,159.

The public college has been serving the higher education needs of the region and in the last academic year, 3,471 students graduated from the college. The admission procedure in all flicks and colours in Langta Baba College is under bureaucratic control and strictly adhere to the policies of the affiliated university. The candidates enroling for studies are assessed by their performance in their qualifying tests.
