Madhusudan Mahto Teacher Training College, Chakradharpur

Madhusudan Mahto Teacher Training College, Chakradharpur, started in 2015 is a premier institute exclusively for teacher training situated in Jharkhand, India. This is a mixed college that is affiliated to a major university and it offers teachers training qualifications. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute offers two full-time courses, B. ED and D. EL.

ED (Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education). It is a small campus which has an area of 1 acre and total enrolment of 190 students with the faculty strength of 32 teachers which make student-teacher ratio which is ideal for having personal attention and to have good qualitative education. Madhusudan Mahto Teacher Training College is directed to give a full-suite learning experience to its students.

It has a well stocked library that uses an open access to assist students gain quality information in educational resources such as international journals, periodicals, and education CDs. The library also offers photocopying services to help students and members of faculty to make their documents’ copies.

From a technological point of view, the college is equipped with an up-to-date computer Laboratory with sixteen personal computers with internet connection, scan as well as print facilities. It offers indoor games like chess and carrom board and games like badminton, volleyball which makes right balance between having lessons and doing games.

Madhusudan Mahto Teacher Training College offers two primary courses, the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed). Both are full time programmes and the attachment for both is two years. The intake capacity is given for each of the programmes offered at the college is 100 students.

The courses aim at preparing strong teaching candidates to effectively teach at all levels of education.
